Karman So is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Strength + Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) at Centennial Wellness. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, her goal is to provide evidence-based care to facilitate improvement of her clients’ health outcomes. Functional movement assessments, hands-on manual therapy and meaningful therapeutic exercise are the pillars of her musculoskeletal practice. She takes pride in helping people feel better, move better and perform better.
Prior to moving to Calgary, Karman completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University, and in 2016, received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Karman is looking forward to developing her skillset in Functional Dry Needling, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Anatomical Acupuncture and Vestibular Rehabilitation. She has spent time volunteering in youth para-athletics and worked as a stroke and traumatic brain injury therapist before going into private practice. She can also be found occasionally working with post-operative cardiac patients at the Foothills Hospital.
Having worked through acute injuries herself, Karman practices what she preaches. She stays active by playing volleyball, hiking and lifting weights in the gym. Outside of work, she gets excited about antiques and reading the latest in the world of pain science.
